I have been trying to gain for 3 months now and have gotten nowhere. (Look at my pics to see)😓

I have been trying to eat 3500 calories a day. I have also been living a very sednetry life style. Is there anything else I can do?


How successfully have you been eating over 3500 calories a day? Cause depending how sedentary you are you shouldn’t be burning much more than your metabolic rate

I get to at least 3000 each day it can be hard getting much more than that sometimes. It has been getting easier recently though.


Oof yeah you’re just maintaining your weight at that few calories just gotta eat more smiley it can be hard if you’re not a big eater normally, like I can’t help myself most days and I’m pushing 5 or 6k and it’s just barely enough to maintain a steady gain depending on that days activity level

Calorie Intake/Calorie deficit/metabolic rate cause of a lot of hardship. It’s rooted in the silly notion that people should only eat 2k a day and people not realizing how many calories it takes to gain, people not realizing how many calories it takes to keep a body functioning and how many more it takes when you’re bigger. There’s a reason why people tend to tapper off at certain weights after gaining it

What’s your favorite thing to eat?


go wild for the foods you enjoy and love to eat avoid stuff you don’t like. There’s no tricks or gimmicks here. Just get greedy with it.

Some things to keep in mind:

Weight gain is a marathon, not a sprint. Sometimes, you have to be patient and not rush things.

Sometimes, light to moderate exercise can help you gain weight. It stimulates the appetite, and you cannot exercise enough to offset a bad diet.

A diet high in fat can, ironically, lead to weight loss. Let's not forget keto is a thing.

Ensure you eat enough calories to gain weight and not just maintain it.

Learn to have fun with your gains. Hedonism goes a long way when it comes to getting fat.
